On July 13, President WAN Lijun made a wonderful report entitled with “Explore the World of Molecular” for campers and teachers.

Beginning with observation technologies, WAN demonstrated an amazing material world at different scales. He introduced molecular world from three aspects including molecular observation techniques, molecular research objects and the scientific and applied significance of molecular study. He invited audience into the molecular world by representing several typical molecules like the unique triangular structure of Violet molecule, the chiral and symmetry structures the magical natural phenomenon leads and peculiar structure of benzene. These samples stimulated students' strong curiosity. As an ending, he briefed the development and the character of talents cultivation of USTC to campers and genuinely wished them enjoy these fulfillment days here.  

His lecture was like a key to the door of the microscopic world and enables young learners to glaze at the new world. It was no doubt an impressive and interesting lecture to popularize science. "I feel the appeal of science through it. I can see the world never exposed to me before. "Said Robe Ton from Tibet. CHANG Kai from the sixth high school of Baohe told "I never thought molecular material would have such a big impact in so many areas. This speech not only makes knowledge on books more specific images, but also expanded my horizons."
