2015 Hefei International Marathon started at Battle Memorial Hall at 8:00 am on Oct. 25th. More than 20,000 runners took part in the event.

More than 200 USTCers, mostly graduate and undergraduate students, took the challenge to participate in Hefei International Marathon held on Sunday, October 25, 2015. The game included marathon, half marathon and mini marathon, and attracted more than 20,000 runners from around 15 countries and regions to taking part this year.


Two delighted USTCers in the marathon. They enjoyed the game very much.
Recent years has saw a growing interests among USTCers to run a marathon. Hundreds of them show up in various marathons in China, and some of them even go across the ocean to the US to enjoy the game. They usually take regular training, ensuring that they could build themselves up and learn necessary skills to deal with the challenge.

Zhang from Department of Physics, USTC finished her first full marathon and showed her medal.
Zhang, a lovely girl from Department of Physics, felt great when she crossed the finish line. “It’s my first marathon. Although sometimes I had doubts and worries during the game, I never gave up and tried hard to push my limits. Finally I made it and I’m really glad about that.”
