BEIJING(July,27th)-Chinese Premier LI Keqiang congratulated the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on the 60th anniversary of founding at the symposium of National Science and Technology development held in the Great Hall of the People, LI also delivered the appreciation and best regards to all the CAS fellows and scientists. Besides, LIU Yandong, YANG Jing, CHEN Zhu and WAN Gang attended the symposium.

XIE Yi, the fellow of CAS was invited to deliver speech at the symposium. XIE expressed an infinite esteem to the pioneers' feats in the research areas and sincerely gratefulness to the Party and government for both sides had attached great importance and supported for the development of science.

"Our success as individuals greatly depends on the prosperity of our country, we won't be able to make any accomplishments in science and technology field without the advanced instruments which were all invested by our motherland. We have the deep faith that our scientific research level will be among the first class in the world and more research achievements will be recognized by the international in the future." XIE said on the symposium.

“We hope that our country will further strengthen the overall plans of education resources and promote a more reasonable distribution, the current resources are just concentrated in a few developed areas like Beijing and Shanghai, and this will harm the balanced development of a nation from the perspective of top strategic regulation. Besides, we also expect that our country will accelerate the constructions of major scientific projects and national laboratories, increase the regional independent innovation ability and form a long-term, stable technology and talents support. On another hand, we hope that our government could adjust the cooperation between education and technology, break the boundaries between the research institutes and universities, and maximize the benefits from the cooperation. USTC have already achieved great success by working with Hefei Institute, a branch of CAS", XIE came up with suggestions according to the topic.
