The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) successfully hosted the 8^th Color Run on the west campus. Organized by the School of Engineering Science (SES) and supported by 12 other graduate unions, the event welcomed over 1,000 students and faculty members. With the theme “Join the Color Run, let’s enjoy the fun”, the campaign aimed to inspire youthful energy, enrich campus activities and showcase the vibrant spirit of the USTC community.

The campaign began at 13:14 with a dynamic stage performance which set an enthusiastic tone. Once all participants were ready, the Deputy Secretary of Youth League Committee of SES announced the beginning of the Color Run around the campus. As the signal was given, a dazzling rainbow smoke wall rose at the starting line, igniting excitement and adding a carnival atmosphere to the event.

Beyond running itself, the campaign featured interactive games on the playground and the highly anticipated “Color Rapture”, where participants threw colored powder at each other to release stress. The venue was filled with laughter and exciting shouts, as everyone joined in the joyful splashes of color. The playground was soon transformed into a lively sea of joy!

As part of the “Beautiful Encounters” series, the Color Run has been a cherished tradition of USTC for 8 years. It not only brings immense delight to participants, but has also become synonymous with promoting a “Green, Healthy and Active” lifestyle. The vibrant spectacle of Color Run will continue to inspire positivity and foster a positive campus spirit at USTC for years to come.
